The Problem and Solution
Have you ever had a batch of cookies come out too dry? Overdone? Overdone? We’ve all been there! This Adobe Captivate concept course intended for a baking blog or website tackles a lofty pursuit: the perfect chocolate chip cookie! To troubleshoot baking woes and find chocolatey bliss, learners are introduced to baking essentials and their role in the kitchen. Scenarios test knowledge in a real-world setting… only with less mess to clean up!

The Process
After identifying the essentials of cookie baking, I assessed the areas that were suitable to address with eLearning. The biggest challenge was testing higher-order baking concepts without stepping foot in a kitchen. I determined that a series of scenarios was the most appropriate form of assessment to achieve this goal. I developed the course and assessments first in a visual storyboard and after final review the project was fully developed in Adobe Captivate.
